Autism Support for Children in Dubai
A Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy Pathway — Built Around Your Child, Not a Label
Whether your child was recently diagnosed, is on a waiting list for assessment, or has been in therapy for years — finding support that truly respects who they are can feel overwhelming.
At Starwalkers — a pediatric therapy clinic in Dubai Healthcare City — we offer a complete, neurodiversity-affirming support pathway for autistic children: speech and language therapy, gestalt language support, occupational therapy, sensory integration, feeding therapy, AAC, and parent coaching — coordinated by one team that knows your child.
We do not try to make autistic children appear less autistic. We help them communicate, regulate, participate, and thrive — as themselves.
Who Is This Pathway For?
Our autism support pathway may be right for your family if your child:

One Team. One Plan. Your Whole Child.
Instead of juggling separate providers who never talk to each other, your child gets a coordinated team under one roof:
Speech & Language Therapy
Building communication, connection, and language — including specialised support for gestalt language processors through the Natural Language Acquisition framework.
Occupational Therapy
Supporting sensory processing, regulation, motor skills, self-care, and everyday independence — in ways that honour sensory needs, never suppress them.
AAC Support
Robust communication systems for non-speaking and minimally speaking children. Every child has the right to a voice — in whatever form works for them.
Sensory Integration Therapy
Ayres Sensory Integration®-informed support for children whose sensory differences affect regulation, movement, and participation.
Feeding Therapy
Responsive, pressure-free support for children with limited food ranges and sensory-based feeding differences — no forcing, no bribing, ever.
Parent Coaching & Home Integration
You are the constant in your child’s life. We equip you with understanding and strategies that work in real routines — mealtimes, mornings, school runs.

Our Neurodiversity-Affirming Philosophy
Autism is a difference in how a person experiences and interacts with the world — not a defect to be corrected.
We do not aim to “fix,” suppress, or mask autistic traits. We do not train children to perform eye contact, sit still on command, or hide their stims. Instead, we support communication, regulation, independence, and participation in ways that honour each child’s natural neurotype, autonomy, sensory needs, and lived experience.
We believe every autistic child has the right to be understood, supported, and celebrated — exactly as they are.
Evidence-Informed, Neurodiversity-Affirming Approaches We Use
Every strategy is selected according to your child’s strengths, communication style, sensory profile, regulation, and family goals. Our team may draw from:
Every approach is adapted to the child — not the other way around.
Frequently Asked Questions
What therapies does an autistic child actually need?
It depends entirely on the child. Some children benefit most from speech and language support, others from occupational therapy for sensory and motor differences, and many from a combination. Our assessment identifies what will genuinely help your child — we never prescribe a standard package.
What does “neurodiversity-affirming” mean in practice?
It means we support your child’s communication, regulation, independence, and participation without trying to suppress or mask autistic traits like stimming, scripting, or sensory preferences. Goals are built around what helps your child thrive — not around appearing neurotypical.
Do you need a diagnosis before starting therapy?
No. Many families start support while on assessment waiting lists, and early support never hurts. If you have concerns about communication, sensory differences, or development, an assessment with us gives you clarity and a plan either way.
What approach do you use for autistic children?
Our therapy is child-led, play-based, and relationship-based, drawing on evidence-informed frameworks including Natural Language Acquisition for gestalt language processors, Ayres Sensory Integration®-informed practice, DIR®/Floortime™, AAC, and responsive feeding approaches — always adapted to the individual child.
My child is non-speaking. Can you help?
Yes. Non-speaking children have every right to communicate, and we presume competence. We support all forms of communication — AAC devices, signs, gestures, scripts, and speech — through our dedicated AAC program, without withholding any option.
My child scripts and repeats movie lines. Is that something you work on?
Yes — and we treat it as language, not a problem. Many autistic children are gestalt language processors. Our founder is the first certified NLA-trained therapist for gestalt language development in Asia, and scripts are where therapy begins, not what it eliminates.
How do speech therapy and occupational therapy work together?
Closely. Regulation, sensory processing, and communication are deeply connected, so our therapists share goals, plan together, and offer co-treatment sessions when that benefits the child. One team, one plan.
Will you work with my child’s school?
Yes. With your consent, we collaborate with teachers and learning support teams on strategies, environmental adaptations, and understanding your child’s communication and sensory profile.
How are parents involved?
Deeply. Parent coaching and home integration are built into our pathway, because the strategies that work in our clinic should work at your dinner table too. You will always understand what we are doing and why.
What ages do you support?
We support infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults, depending on individual needs. Early intervention is available for our youngest children.
Where is your clinic located?
We are in Dubai Healthcare City: 214-C, 2nd floor, Block B, Al Razi Medical Complex (Building 64). Online sessions are also available across the UAE.
How much does autism therapy cost in Dubai?
Fees depend on the assessment and the therapy plan your child needs — we build individual plans, not fixed packages. Call or WhatsApp us at +971 56 448 1678 and we will walk you through the options.
